We’re thrilled to announce the winners and placegetters for our Storytelling Competition. We received so many wonderful entries from some very talented storytellers.

Many thanks to Bannisters and Rotary for sponsoring our Storytelling Competition in 2019.

Volunteer for Storyfest

Festivals thrive on an enormous amount of community goodwill and volunteers are an intrinsic part of their success. Volunteering includes ticket collection, directing festival-goers to venues and transporting artists. We'd also love to have you on board.

You can register your interest here. Applications close 29th May and successful applicants will be advised on 31st May 2019.

Storyfest Program 2019

We have an exciting line up for you at StoryFest 2019. Twenty-four writers are coming from across this continent to tell their stories. Some share their love of words through fiction, others by delving into our history, our culture or by casting an eye to our future. We will celebrate the sound of words and the use of images to tell stories on the page and in film.
View the Full Program.
Tickets are selling fast. If you miss out on an event, you can sign up to our Wait List here.

Family - WEB.jpeg

As well as all the fabulous grown-up panels and interviews going on in the main program, Storyfest is running a fun-filled Family Program at Milton Library all day on Saturday 22 June. Bring the kids along to meet storybook characters, ask their favourite authors lots of questions and even get their books signed!

From picture books to middle grade fiction to young adult fiction, there’s something for everyone. Tickets range from Free to $4 or your child can attend every single session for the whole day for only $8 for a Day Pass.

This is a chance to get your kids off the screens and dive deep into their favourite fictional worlds. See you there! You can find the Family Program here.

By the way, adults can attend free but if you want to duck off to another session, children 10+ can be signed in and left at the kids session

Congratulations to Tony Babic, winner of our Cover Pic Of The Week contest with his gorgeous photo of Pigeon House mountain. Tony wins a full day pass to our Saturday June 22 events. Thanks to all who entered the competition. It was such a tough decision with so many beautiful photos to choose from. We look forward to receiving your snaps again next year and hope to see you at Storyfest.

Check out the gorgeous photos in our Gallery.

StoryFest Inc hosted a fundraising event on Saturday 21 July 2018 at the historic Milton Theatre which sold out. The highlight of the evening was a very special 'in conversation' with Markus Zusak, one of Australia's most loved authors.
Don't worry if you missed out. You can hear the whole thing on the Writes4Women podcast
You'll find some wonderful photos from the night in our  Gallery.

StoryFest is a celebration of storytelling in all its forms - whether it be through prose, poetry or song. Join us for a weekend of events, workshops and dinners in some of the finest venues Milton, Mollymook and Ulladulla have to offer.

Visitors to StoryFest can enjoy all the glorious south coast has to offer. Venues will showcase our beautiful beaches, spectacular wilderness and historic buildings. Foodies will be impressed by our sumptuous restaurants and providores.

Telling stories, be it through prose, poetry or song, is how we connect with each other, understand our past and contemplate our future

Meredith Jaffé, Festival Director
