Meredith Jaffé

President & Festival Director

Meredith Jaffé is a writer, facilitator and book critic. She is the author of two published works of fiction, The Fence (2016) and The Making of Christina (2017). She was the Program Director for Batemans Bay Writers Festival in 2016 and regularly facilitates at other writers’ festivals including Sydney, Newcastle and St Albans, literary lunches and author events. For four years she wrote the weekly literary column The Bookshelf for the online women’s magazine The Hoopla. Her reviews, author interviews, feature articles and opinion pieces have appeared in The Hoopla, Australian Author, the Guardian Australia, The Huffington Post and Mamamia. Meredith is also a freelance editor and her new children’s series launches in 2019 with Horse Warrior.

Pamela Cook

Program Director & Schools Program

Pamela Cook is an author, podcaster and teacher. She has four novels published with Hachette Australia, Blackwattle Lake (2012) Essie’s Way (2013), Close To Home (2015) and The Crossroads (2016). Pamela is the co- host of Writes4Women, a podcast focusing on women, writing and feminism and the sister podcast Writes4Festivals which covers regional writers’ festivals in NSW. Pamela teaches writing courses and workshops through her business, Justwrite and through Writing NSW. Pamela is also a regular presenter at a variety of literary festivals including Sutherland, Scone, Escapeart and Southern Highlands.


Myra Fox

Secretary & Ticketing

Myra operates her own company in IT & Advertising and works in business administration. She played a key role in organising the St Albans Book Feast in 2013. This led to the creation of the St Albans Writers’ Festival, which ran from 2015-2017 of which she was a Co-Founder.

Monique Carson

Treasurer – Budgeting & Finance

Monique is a Commercial Analyst within the FMCG industry. She is a CPA with experience in Financial Reporting, Account Management, Business Process Improvement, Budgeting & Sales Force Execution. She introduced the Friends of Milton Library Bookclub Program boasting some 200 members in its first year. She is a Committee member on numerous community & sporting organisations assisting with Fundraising, Grant Funding, Event Planning, Execution & Reporting.

Alison Pakes

Vice President & Grants/Sponsorships

Alison Pakes is a Chartered Accountant having worked in large corporations including Ernst & Young and numerous property development companies, including her own finance business.  She has a wealth of experience in budgeting, corporate finance, financial reporting and audit.  She is the President of Friends of Milton Library, a voluntary organisation which saved the Milton community library from closure. FOML has more than 30 volunteers and operates Milton Library in partnership with Shoalhaven Council, which has expanded the hours and services offered.  Alison was awarded the NSW Premier’s Community Service Award in 2018.

Rebecca Wilson

Venues & Accommodation

Rebecca is the co-owner of Milton’s favourite café, Duke & Co. It is renowned for its paddock to plate experience with produce sourced from the family farm.  Her family also owns and operates the Old Church function centre in Milton.  She is experienced in event management and catering and works closely with local restaurants to bring a taste of the area to visitors via themed dinners, weddings and other special occasions.



Leonie Marsh

Film Producer & Film Night Coordinator

Leonie Marsh (nee Mansfield) is a producer based on the NSW South Coast. She is currently producing Mickey Robertson’s gardening podcast The Kitchen Garden and produced Season 1 of Annabelle Hickson and Gillian Bell’s popular podcast Dispatch to a Friend. Leonie is a regular contributor for White Wash Magazine. She spent six years in London at Matthew Vaughn’s MARV Films, working on studio pictures including Kick Ass (Chloe Grace Moretz), The Debt (Helen Mirren), X MEN: First Class (Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender) and has produced numerous short films upon her return to Australia.

In 2015 Leonie founded the Screen Vixens (a female screen producers collective), was Treasurer for Women in Film & Television NSW in 2016 and is a recipient of the Natalie Miller Brilliant Careers Leadership Program 2017.

Marion Hatwell

Film Night Coordinator

Marion Hatwell is the Founder of the Reel Escape Short Film Festival currently in its fourth year. She is a supporter of young film makers, web creators and actors and enthusiastic about providing a platform for emerging Australian film makers to showcase their creations.


Sara Eastway

Volunteer Coordinator

Sara Eastway is a literacy teacher. She is co-founder and Vice President of the Friends of Milton Library, a voluntary organisation which saved the Milton community library from closure and boasting more than 30 volunteers and which operates the Milton Library in partnership with Shoalhaven Council. She is also a committee member of the Escape ARTfest Festival.


Michelle and Garry Evans


Michelle and Garry Evans are the co-owners of Harbour Bookshop Ulladulla. They have been servicing the book lovers of the Milton, Mollymook, Ulladulla region for over 18 years. They have a deep love of literature, all things book related and the majestic South Coast of NSW. They are actively involved in the community, including Escape ARTFest, book launches and literary events as well as the newly formed StoryFest.

For the past six years, they have been showcasing local authors, illustrators, designers, editors on the National and International stage through Harbour Publishing House.
