PAST FESTIVALS
The inaugural StoryFest was held in June 2019 and was an instant success. Attracting 580 patrons who bought more than 800 tickets, it instantly garnered a reputation with the storytelling community, that StoryFest was a welcoming place to come, and a brilliant festival to be part of.
After a false start in 2020 due to the early impact of Covid, StoryFest 2021 snuck in before a nationwide lockdown, much to the relief of the organising committee and the delight of storytellers and audiences. The event doubled in size on almost every metric, creating a brilliant platform for the future of StoryFest.
In 2023, StoryFest grew by more than 50% on its previous festival and featured:
60+ storytellers
11 venues
1800 attendees
3000 ticket sales
2700 school students across all 5 schools in our catchment
2025 was even bigger, bringing together all forms of storytelling to the Milton-Ulladulla-Mollymook area across a four-day festival from the 19th to 22nd June, 2025. See the Festivals page and the past-President's Report for more details about StoryFest 2025.
