VOLUNTEER
StoryFest has been run by volunteers since it first began — the committee, programmers, ushers, set up crew — volunteers make it happen.
Volunteers play an important role in creating connections and creating the atmosphere of welcome at Storyfest. Volunteering at Storyfest will mean meeting interesting people and discovering new ideas, new stories and new books to read — all part of the fun of volunteering at StoryFest!
Every StoryFest volunteer job, large or small, is equally valuable to ensuring a successful festival.
A Volunteer Orientation session will be made available to you in person or virtually, you’ll receive a lanyard identifying your role and a fleece vest to keep you warm.
After the festival closes, you’ll be able to share further stories and your experience with other volunteers at the infamous wrap party!

Committee Roles
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to fill the key Treasurer position on the committee.
Responsible for overall financial management including governance, managing payments and cashflow, invoicing, grant budgets, monthly reconciliation and reports to the committee. The Treasurer is StoryFest’s contact for Community Bank South Coast (Bendigo Bank, Milton) and for our suppliers. Accounting, bookkeeping or financial-management experience helps, as does Xero and Excel, but is not essential.
