The SMOOSHED AVOCADO STORY

My cooking journey started in 1998 in my birthplace, Mumbai, and took me around the world - to Dubai, to America and on cruise ships. I moved to Australia with my girlfriend (now wife) Lalita in 2008. It was the best decision of our lives. Australia welcomed us with open arms, and we loved our new country’s culture.

In 2010, we moved to Ulladulla on the beautiful south coast. We worked in local clubs and restaurants then, a few years later, bought Native Cafe, with its breathtaking views right on Ulladulla Harbour. Back then, it was a very small cafe with a limited menu so we introduced lots of new dishes. My favourite is Smooshed Avocado.

Smooshed Avocado is freshly smashed avocado topped with fresh herbs, feta, house-made dukkah and our special house-made dressing, all served on Three Miles Bakery Sourdough. Its tangy flavour makes it perfect for breakfast or lunch. It’s healthy too, like much of our menu.

Now, we’re expanding our business. The south coast is our home.
